tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born 27 February 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played 17 seasons with the National Football League. Gonzalez is considered to be to be one of the most talented tight ends of all time, and is currently the NFL's most successful tight end in terms of receiving yards and receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez also ranks third in the number of receptions he has. Gonzalez's initial 12 seasons were in the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he made it to the NFL's draft in the first round. He was also a member the Atlanta Falcons for five of his last seasons. Since his retirement in 2013 Gonzalez has served as an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and previously worked at CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez was a career-high fourteen Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tight end and second in the history of the league In addition, he was awarded six All-Pros on the first team. The player is known for his strength and his infrequent fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and lost only two fumbles in 1,327 plays. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gonzalez was inducted in 2019.
